The Vietnamese Blue Tarantula, also known as Chilobrachys sp. "Vietnam Blue", is a striking tarantula species native to Vietnam. Renowned for its iridescent blue legs and vibrant metallic sheen, this tarantula is a favourite among intermediate and advanced keepers. This species is fossorial (burrowing) and exhibits fast, defensive behaviour, making it more suitable for experienced hobbyists. It is a prolific webber and creates intricate tunnel systems in its enclosure. Adults typically reach 12–15 cm. Females can live 12–15 years with proper care whereas males usually live 3–4 years after reaching maturity.
